Our Story
Colleen Anderson, who trained at The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy became passionate about Laser Therapy's potential after witnessing its success in managing her grandmother's arthritic pain and recovery from a hip fracture. Dr. Anderson, is an Alternative Pain Management and Performance Medicine Specialist who after graduation, completed an additional 4yr Clinical Fellowship in Toronto under a globally recognized Pioneer in the field of laser therapy, and developer of the Bioflex therapeutic medical laser therapy system used in our clinics.
Early training during the emergence of laser therapy as a therapeutic medical modality, was an important and unique foundation that required Dr. Anderson to serve as consultant and researcher on various projects and Teams, from around the world. Early adoption of the bioflex laser therapy system within major league sports leagues for management of sport-related injuries and safe return to High Performance fuelled Dr. Anderson’s work and sustained passion of working with professional, Olympic and Paralympic athletes over the past 20yrs.
Return-to-High Performance is our clinic focus for all patients, which applies uniquely to athletic and non-athletic populations. It leverages formal study of Human Performance and advanced research into brain performance, speed production and the neurologic basis of movement. Supporting high functioning brains is the common denominator in high performance athletics, neurodegeneration and concussion management.
Laser therapy is an emerging technology with efficacy in management of neurodegenerative disease, brain, and spinal cord injuries including sport and non-sport related concussions, and an area of high professional and personal interest for Dr. Anderson which has been a 10yr independent research focus.

The bulk of our patients report with pain from arthritis, mechanical back pain, nerve pain, head aches or pain related to an injury and have come to us from all walks of life. It is our sincere privilege to improve the quality of lives in those who seek to safely manage their pain, without use of drugs or surgery. Invited collaboration with Researchers and investigation at Boston University’s CTE Brain Lab, Harvard University’s Photobiomodulation Laboratories, and University of Western Ontario’s Brain Institute has provided current insight into brain injuries and emerging discoveries about brain health management, and related brain performance in high cognitive demand populations.
